The Berakas Power Company Sdn. Bhd. (BPC) is a private limited company established in 1998 and is a Government Linked Company (GLC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Darussalam Assets Sdn. Bhd.

BPC provides highly reliable power to serve approximately 40% of the national power demand of Brunei Darussalam, including most of the strategic and critical loads within the Brunei-Muara district. BPC operates and maintains the Berakas Power System (BPS) in accordance to leading international industry standards, and also provides consultancy and project management services for a portfolio of projects including Government power infrastructure projects within Brunei Darussalam. Additionally, BPC offers a wide range of specialized utility training for individuals who work within power system networks.

BPC’s core business activities include:

  • Operation, maintenance and expansion of the Berakas Power System (BPS).
  • The execution of major power system infrastructure projects on behalf of the Government of Brunei Darussalam.
